Hope’s story: the dog who inspired Hope Health

Hope, our much loved Labrador and unofficial CEO became the inspiration behind Hope Health Supplements after her remarkable journey back to comfort and vitality.

Hope Health Supplements did not begin in a lab or a boardroom. It began in 2013, working with horses.

At the time, I was formulating bespoke blends for horses, supporting their joints, recovery, and long term health. Many of their owners began asking if I could create something for them too. They trusted what they saw in their animals and wanted the same personalised approach for themselves.

That is how the human side of the business began. Quietly, naturally, and built on trust.

But the name Hope comes from someone very special. Our dog.

When I first met Hope, she was deeply loved and carefully looked after, but she was struggling. Her hips were deteriorating, her movement was becoming restricted, and her world was getting smaller. She had stopped jumping into the car and her walks became slower and shorter.

She was under veterinary care, and surgery was being considered as the next step.

Working alongside her vets, I created a bespoke nutritional blend to support her joints, connective tissue, and overall health. The aim was to complement her veterinary care, not replace it.

Over time, changes became noticeable. She began moving more comfortably. Her confidence returned. One day, she jumped back into the car unaided. It was something she had not done in years.

From that point on, she regained a quality of life that had seemed to be slipping away.

Hope went on to enjoy many more happy, active years. Her journey reinforced everything I had been learning through my work. That when the body is given the right support, it often responds in ways we do not expect.

She became more than our dog. She became the symbol of what this work represents.

Today, we still call her our CEO.

Hope Health Supplements grew from supporting animals to supporting people, but the principles remain the same. Listen carefully. Work with the individual. Support the body, do not override it.

Hope is the reason this business exists, and her story continues to inspire everything we do.
